@paulknightly Shall I send the boys to have a little talk with the sun on your behalf?

@HuffPost After Puerto Rico, they should do Washington DC, followed by Guam.

House Approves Referendum To 'Decolonize' Puerto Rico - The U.S. House has passed a bill that would allow Puerto Rico to hold the first-ever binding referendum on whether to become a state or gain some sort of independence. #huffpost

Don’t laugh at me because I currently live in south Alabama, but being caught in an avalanche has long been my greatest fear.

@marq I went to my oncologist at the beginning of September for my annual check. Not a single person there wearing a mask other than me. That’s when I stopped masking.

@NurseStacey I moved to AL from NY in 1991. Still determined to bring the state into the 21st century.

Know how we know these comments are grounded in white supremacy—not national security?

Right now there are 600,000+ undocumented immigrants in America from Canada & Europe—when was the last time you heard MAGA call for a northern border wall or travel ban from Europe?🤔

That’s the complexion for protection. An ask again to demand Dems pass DACA protections before Jan 3. Do not leave DACA’s fate to MAGA extremists: bit.ly/3YedKtj

@NurseStacey Depends. Are you in north Alabackwards or LA? I don’t believe the majority of people down here can read. Just sayin’.

Fla. pastor, son scammed $8 million in covid aid to buy Disney home, feds say - Evan and Josh Edwards falsely claimed their ministry employed about 500 people and had a monthly payroll above $2.7 million on their PPP application, authorities say. #washingtonpost

Forgive me for sounding like a broken record, but how on Earth are we supposed to believe we “can’t afford” paid family leave, universal pre-K, or climate action when our politicians are willing to pass an $858 billion annual defense budget without batting an eye?

Some additional info:
1. The "reply comment" period referenced in the article is another chance to comment, but you are supposed to be commenting on someone else's comment. It's basically a chance to "upvote" or "downvote" others' comments. If for some reason you can't make the Feb 13th comment deadline, you can still submit your support for the proposal during reply comments, due MArch 30.

2. I'm not sure if COSN has a presence in the fediverse, but I'm guessing they'll be putting forth some statements and/or resources that could be helpful to the field on areas for comment. @douglevin is a great person to follow on here for all things cybersecurity in #edtech.

3. I am available on a consulting basis to help with preparing comments -- contact me via DM or link in bio

I wasn’t gonna mention TFG and his NFTs, but I can’t stop laughing. So in case I die of laughter, y’all can tell the EMTs what caused it.

The 1/6 committee is holding a public hearing on Monday about criminal referrals. This is a good sign. They’re not going to hold a major event just to announce nothing. Only Trump does that 😆

DC, Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, American Samoa all live in a kind of electoral limbo. It’s time to resolve it with statehood. #politics #uspolitics

@joehanks1181 @therobburgessshow I don’t remember finals for my masters. But when I was writing my doctoral dissertation I would have welcomed the 5 minute break that writing a profile would take. ;)
