A Black police officer, David Rose, was shot and killed defending a federal government building last month, and he didn’t get a presidential medal, a congressional moment of silence, or a lowered flag at the White House.

A white civilian, Charlie Kirk, is shot and killed on a college campus, and he gets all those things and a promise of presidential attendance at his funeral.

This is the difference between people who really value human life and people who really don't care about life, just the norms-- outward signs of "caring"-- that have always served their interests at the expense of others.

We all just saw MAGAs wailing and weeping and gnashing their teeth over a man whose memory they dropped like a hot rock as soon as it turned out not to be an excuse for a purge.

If somebody isn't writing about *all* political murder, I'm not listening.
