It's because their policies are so deeply damaging that Democrat Catelin Drey just won a deep-red district in deep-red Iowa by a 10-point margin in a special election. It's a district Trump carried by 11.5% in 2024.

I'm not a fan of gerrymandering, but if the Republicans continue to try to disengranchise blue voters in red states, more Democratic governors need to follow Newsom's lead.

Context: The guard is picking up trash in DC because Trump and the Republicans gutted DC & the parks budgets.

Oh BTW they're making the #NationalGuard in #WashingtonDC pick up trash. To add insult to injury, they have to wear high visibility vests over camouflage. What a great use of tax dollars! They couldn't have possibly hired local civilians to pick up the trash.
