Serious question:
Why did NABJ allow a member of Trump's publicity team to sit on that stage, pretending to be a journalist, while hijacking the discussion and teeing up Trump's talking points for him?
I don't mean to pick on NABJ -- our political press has been a disaster since 2016, and NABJ's comparatively excellent event today was a breath of fresh air. I'm just saying, if they make such a serious mistake, what hope is there for other organizations to get it right?
