BA.2.86 has the P681R mutation.

P681R means, it helps the virus to 'stick' to you.
In Delta, the R in pos 681 created an almost fully optimized FCS (RRRXR/S instead of RRXRR/S).
This enhances furin cleavage.
This makes you sicker.
