@raf I don’t think that ended in the 80’s. I would say it’s still true today. @serge

@sewblue About 50 years ago, my father’s boss was severely dyslexic. He was also an ophthalmic surgeon, and a USAF hospital chief. He got accommodations for medical boards, and did very well for himself. @Callalily

It is despicable that the Covid vaccine manufacturers are going to charge more than $110/dose for the new XBB.1.5 boosters when available in mid-September.

The US government previously paid ~$25/dose, supplied free of charge, and subsidized these companies with untold $ billions.

Cheating is the Republican platform so we've got to flood the ballot boxes enough to get them out of power in every state as fast as we possibly can.

@StillIRise1963 It’s nice to be able to loathe them, not because they’re Black, but despite it.

Studying languages changed and immeasurably enriched my life, but as a student I still had to defend my choices against idiotic 'but they all speak English don't they' statements.

No, 'they' don't. And even if 'they' do, why not return the favour?

@makkhorn Good thing Escambia County borders Alabama, so the people from there can still come to the free state of to get books.
