@derekbruff I used to love Prezi. As to saving as a picture, will a screen cap do?

The founder of the Oath Keepers militia is arguing for a lenient sentence of “time served” out of respect for his history of “good works,” by which he means — and we swear we’re not making this up — creating the Oath Keepers in the first place. rollingstone.com/politics/poli

@EugeneMcParland It is amazing work. Evgeniy Maloletka also won World Press Photo of the Year for one of those same images. He says he only realized later that he was documenting war crimes.

@PatrickoftheG It was worth it. I’d do it again. The country is nothing without education. Teachers aren’t in it for the money, but for the public service. (I wish politicians felt the same way.)

Our series on the stillbirths crisis in America by reporter Duaa Eldeib was just honored as a #Pulitzer Prize finalist.

Extremely relevant to discussions I've had here yesterday about #academic #publishing

$2700 to publish in their journal. Elsevier made nearly $3 billion in revenue with 40% profit margin last year.

Another example of #academia being pay to win
