On a small, private server the downside with #fediverse is that the federated feed is quite boring. (I haven’t dared to add any proxies for capacity reasons.)

@icecubesapp, just released on App Store, has an elegant solution for this: Follow the local timelines from other servers!

As a side-note: The creativity among the app developers right now is wonderful to follow!

Playing with @icecubesapp reminds me of @ivory. Both apps are very clean and I like the ability it has added to view remote local timelines. Since I've moved to my instance, I don't see discovery content well and this is helpful. Give it a look. #apps #mastodon

@democracydocket Wait, am I understanding this correctly? Ohio will not accept military ID as proof for voting? So much for Ohio's vaunted pro military stance. This Axios article ... interesting to see how private thoughts about the purpose of #school are different from what we assume is important to the rest of society. What's missing here altogether, though, is preparing #students to serve as collaborative problem-solvers who value shared belonging.
