Benjamin Netanyahu is clearly demonstrating why the deep mixing of religion (regardless of which religion) and politics is lethal to democracies and minority rights, and in fact the destruction of democracy is often the very reason that such a course is pushed by fascist politicians. This doesn't apply only to Israel, but to the entire planet, including notably here in the U.S. as well.
