Text from my dad, I hope this is true
I just heard that somebody wrote an academic paper in first person plural, we did this and we did that, but he was the sole author. The editor pointed out that the journal's policy forbade writing in the plural if there was only one author. So he added his cat as co-author and it was accepted🙂
