@AlliFlowers

Vouchers for public education are all about re-segregation.

Rich people don't want their kids associating with anyone who might instill empathy, critical thinking, and curiosity in their progeny.

To manufacture cognitive prisons and recreate Jim Crow, you need social isolation, restricted access to information, and bigotry for the next generation.

Oh and government supported "Christian" education which means pseudo biology, watered down history, and forced praying

@AlliFlowers Not true, at least for me. I worked my butt off to pay back my student loan. That has nothing to do with vouchers for kids to go to fancy private schools. It has to do with paying back money that you agreed to borrow.

@Likewise Seems you’re in the minority here, not understanding this meme.

@AlliFlowers I understand what it is trying to say, it just doesn’t apply across the board.

@Likewise Nothing is 100%. It’s pointless to bother saying it. It’s rather like walking out in the ran and remarking “oh, it’s wet.”

I think the best policy would be to abolish student loans and make them illegal. The prices of tuition would plummet. The Harvard endownments and foundations alone have enough money to pay for all future tuition for years and years. Multiply that by thousands of schools and you'll see most of the tuition is being funneled into foundations that enrich the rich at the expense of the borrowers.
