Branch-bound Hunter
Here is a red-shouldered hawk (Buteo lineatus)
"Whether wheeling over a swamp forest or whistling plaintively from a riverine park, a Red-shouldered Hawk is typically a sign of tall woods and water. It’s one of our most distinctively marked common hawks, with barred reddish-peachy underparts and a strongly banded tail. In flight, translucent crescents near the wingtips help to identify the species at a distance. These forest hawks hunt prey ranging from mice to frogs and snakes." - allaboutbirds.org

@GottaLaff
Mark Robinson isn't "MLK times 2", he's Herschel Walker times 2.
@shansterable @Bellison22 Your math seems flawed. The margin of error (34% vs 83%) would be more like 144%.
check my math
so ONE MILLION teamsters endorsed HARRIS

out of... 1.3 MILLION?
that's 77%.
Well over Sean O'Brien's "34%"
somebody help me out here

Good lord, Ben got me up again at 0430 this morning. This is what? the third morning in a row. Unfortunately, I think this is the current trend. He comes to the bedroom door and just starts barking. He likes to sleep under our bed at night, but I recently started making him sleep in his bed in the family room because he was disturbing my wife's sleep during the night. She isn't gifted with bad hearing like me. Hmmm ... for every action there is a reaction.
We are having a pergola build in our back yard, construction starts this morning some time. Last night, I was thinking about the pigeons and whether or not they will defile the pergola. Wait and see.

I'm Just a Lonely Bird
Don't ask me why, but for some reason I like this image. It is mostly a silhouette with a northern cardinal center stage offering a hint of color in a pine tree.
I don't post all of the photos that I post here to my Pixels gallery, but I post the photos I like best. Some don't make the cut.

@w7voa I am confused. He says that as though it would be a *bad* thing.
@Swede1952 Mom liked to tell the story of the raven on Hurricane Ridge that was faced with the difficult task of trying to carry two graham crackers that we gave it. After much consternation, it managed to get one lengthwise and on crosswise in its beak and flew off to chow down.
@stonekettle cf, Vonnegut’s Mother Night.
@stonekettle Why are you being mean to spiders?
@meltedcheese @brianvastag I encountered a very young bird running around on the walkway outside some stores, but there was really nothing I could do for it. Probably ended up as catfood or the like. Nature is what she is.
@phocks I bet that works well on Pink Floyd albums.
@Daojoan ja sure jabetcha
Democrats don't want Donald Trump dead.
We want him alive, massively shamed by a landslide loss in November, legally tried and imprisoned, and to live long enough to see his wealth and reputation destroyed before dying a natural death.

Back in the 70s while the infantry company I was assigned to was at the training area in Baumholder, Germany. I was put into an M60A1 tank. It was the first and only time I'd been in a tank. I think I was a buck sergeant, but I may have been a staff sergeant by then, I'm not sure. The tank and crew were going through a live fire range, and I was in charge of safety. Quite remarkable actually because I didn't have a clue. Having a safety officer in the tank was a requirement. The only thing I could tell them was to keep their gun pointed down range. It occurs to me that if something would have gone wrong, there would be a fall guy. But all's well that ends well.
