If you remember the Civil War was fought in the South’s perspective not in the name of pro-slavery, but in the name of State’s Rights, the “right to be bad if we want to”. 🙄 The same thinking that insisted on segregation, and today, hostility towards The Voters Rights Act throwing up multiple roadblocks in the way of convienent voting.

Oppressive 100F heat for weeks, with the prospect of months to come, The garden relies on us and watering to stay alive. I was just talking to a neighbor -- who's absolutely lovely, biblically nice guy -- and had to explain this fact.

Black and Latinx folks aren't categorically poorer because we're "dumb". That's just how the country was set up.

Republicans want to block anyone from getting abortions even when one is needed for their health.

Democrats want you to be able to control your body entirely until the point of viability and then to be able to get an abortion when your life is in danger and when doctors knows there’s a serious issue.

That’s the bottom line. One of these two things saves lives and it isn't the Republican position.
