@soc_i_ety@mstdn.ca What we are witnessing is a general breakdown of society. What you see are professed standards that are corrupted, pretending that there is nothing to see here, move along. Whether that be the #GOzP who claim to be patriots while undermining civil rights so they can wield power. Or evangelicals who profess love, but practise hate and go as far as electing Beelzebub as POTUS because he promised them “good times”. There’s enough of these bad 🍏 to spoil the pie. 😔

But this goes far beyond rhetoric , who accuses made up BS vs a record of established damaging actions, and your argument in this thread functions as nothing more than a big fat they are all the same, equivalence argument. @chris Dude, I didn’t walk into anything. there’s a huge difference here. on one side, you have a political party that is actually trying to follow the constitution and another group that is working their asses off to fool their dummies, by projecting all they do onto the Democrats. Just because the fascists try to project themselves onto the opposition and get their base to believe them, if they succeed, we’ll get what we deserve which has been a fact since the beginning. 🔥
@chris what you’re saying is that in 2 party America the only place to go to be different is by breaking bad, cheating to win, disenfranchising voters, and becoming arch enemies of the Constitution and civil rights, tearing down the federal government and starting over with a system designed to allow them to hold power by pure force.
