@Huntn00 I think it explains everything that's happening in the US & UK. The KGB routinely monitored wealthy & influential people who arrived in Russia or satellite states. Every single room was wired for video & sound. Guess who visited often? Trump. Musk. God knows how many more. Rachel Maddow did some excellent deep dives into this.
@SueInRockville That’s what the DoI says, and some, hopefully most of us are still trying to live up to it, often hindered by our inherent humanity. We are plagued by those who at best, give those words lip service and at worse actively undermine those standards while proclaiming to be patriots. Humans, a paradox of sorts. Smart while simultaneously #STUPID, plagued by our intelligence constantly at war with our selfishness. 🤔

A new day, a new chance to succeed.
Something I noticed this year:
I've almost eradicated "need to do" from my lexicon. Now I have a list of things I "want to do" every day.
Even the chores that used to drag on have become new moments to be in.
Can I do it better? Is this the right thing? Are there alternative ways to do this?
The repeated tasks become challenges revisited, a journey toward mastery of simple things.
I hope you get to do at least a few of the things you want to do #today

I have been pondering this since I retired without work to occupy a hefty junk of my life. Here is the point, if our existence is just one lifetime, a flash in the infinite expanse of time, nothing matters, who cares? We’re all dead, non-existence is the norm. For it to matter, have meaning, there must be more. I like this idea, just not prepared to speculate on what that more is.
