That’s good to hear, however if you look at Texas, the big cities are blue/purple, and the rural areas are red. This trend so far keeps Texas red for the most part,

@Huntn00 when I moved back to Georgia from Asheville to help my son (I rented his house) he warned me not to put up any yard signs or display any bumper stickers, advised me to register as an independent voter, and admonished me to not engage in any political discussions.
Not all of us who are rural are okay with it, but we understand they have guns and are not afraid or unwilling to use them. They are belligerent in the extreme, often itching for a fight, maybe drunk or high, and certainly not reasonable.
Even my neighbors understand they have to be cautious. He spoke out against the maggots a few years back, was immediately fired, and hasn't been employed since.

Rural is where Reps owned the Dems in converting hearts and minds over the last 50y. My concern is what message swayed most of rural America? Beyond “we’ll look after your interests” it concerns me that this traction is tied up with prejudice, hostility against urban dwellers and apparently liberal ideals about level playing fields, equal opportunity/rights, and actual Freedom of Religion. The GOP busily disenfranchises opposition and the majority of rural seems ok with it? :(

I fantasize about the day the Head Crook gets a view with bars. However, remembering Nixon’s pardon “for the good of the country” and Ollie North taking the legal bullet for Iran Contra, and sigh Scooter Libby, I continue to feel that’s a bridge too far and should not hold my breath.
Complicating the issue to our detriment is the current 50-50 makeup of Congress, especially if the Head Crook ever returns to WH, where the bad guys will be trying to toss the good guys in jail.

@Huntn00 @flexghost Great questions. Next time I see my Mormon relatives I will ask. There's a graduation party in June, so I will have a chance. They are SUPER Mo's and are always telling me how wonderful their church is and all the great things it does. I will have to find a non-aggressive way to ask.
