Lots of people ask for actions to take to help elect progressive candidates.
Here’s another one of my favorites- Movement Labs. They work with progressive candidates around the country and also help Democrats run in places where they traditionally haven’t.
Their next project is going to be in North Carolina- a state that needs some help. Get involved or save this for when you can. Their work is effective for progressive change.

Here’s something else-
On Sunday, May 21st, 2pm-2:30pm PT/ 5pm-5:30pm ET join David Pepper, former chair of the Ohio Democratic Party and the author of “Laboratories of Autocracy: A Wake-Up Call from Behind the Lines” to talk about rural organizing.
From the invite:
“Learn about growing local movements that recruit, support and celebrate the courageous Democrats who run for office and the local Democratic committees who support them.”

Rural is where Reps owned the Dems in converting hearts and minds over the last 50y. My concern is what message swayed most of rural America? Beyond “we’ll look after your interests” it concerns me that this traction is tied up with prejudice, hostility against urban dwellers and apparently liberal ideals about level playing fields, equal opportunity/rights, and actual Freedom of Religion. The GOP busily disenfranchises opposition and the majority of rural seems ok with it? :(

That’s how I feel, nothing political goes in my yard or on my car for fear of vandalism. I live in the Houston suburbs.
