Ok hear me out. Rant about "H" and "8":

I love how New Zealanders say "haitch" for the letter "H". I was discussing this today and contemplated the fact that the way we in the states say "H" sounds like "eightch" which sounds like "eight". Then I noticed the shape of the symbol for "8" and "H" are similar, one open at top and bottom and one not. Next, and most importantly, it dawned on us that the letter "H" is the eighth letter of the alphabet.

Coincidence? I think NOT.
