@AlliFlowers There is a chat client called Profanity that runs in the command line on GNU/Linux. I'm lamenting that it crashes a lot, and that there is no alternative. The project called Snikket is likely to make some technology that will allow for easier creation of a better chat client in the future, that will work on the command line. @snikket_im
