There's this man at the conservative synagogue, he is a grumpy old man which I can relate to .. but he especially doesn't like me. He writes down who visits the services, so you have to get past him, and he only very reluctantly writes my name down and forgets it every time.

I've been nothing but polite to him. Wishing him gut shabbos after every service while he won't look me in the eyes.

This is more than just ordinary grumpiness imo, it feels like when I asked how to get to Kosova while travelling through Serbia.

My guess is he reads me gay, which, not entirely wrong. But I should just let it go.

@AlliFlowers well I can't make him do that, I can only change my actions or perspective

@hundertsieben You may not be able to make him do it, but you can act like he has. If nothing else, that’ll confuse the hell out of him.
