Mince pies are delicious. I made some hand pies with mince filling today. Growing up in Massachusetts I saw mince pies at both Thanksgiving and Christmas, but they were the full-size pies, the kind you cut a slice from. No one I know in Maryland is interested in trying mince pie, but now I have a son-in-law from the UK that loves them. He grew up with mince pies you eat from your hand. Now I get to bake and enjoy some every Christmas.

@killick Quite a few local stores carry Walker’s. They have the best mince, and shortbreads.
I've had the Walker's Shortbread but not seen the pies. I used Nonesuch brand pie filling.
