🙄“#Trump urged a federal appeals court to throw out the federal election subversion criminal case in Washington, DC, again arguing in a filing late Saturday that he is protected under presidential immunity.” #legal #TrumpIndictment 1/…

@GottaLaff So if the President is immune then Trump is arguing that Biden can do anything he wants without any repercussions, right? Or does the criminal immunity only apply to presidents whose last name rhymes with "dump?"
@TechyDad In which case, there should be no such thing as impeachment, so the Republicans can find some other way to waste, er, spend their time. @GottaLaff @Nonya_Bidniss
@Nonya_Bidniss But if a president can do no wrong, what’s the point? @TechyDad @GottaLaff
@Nonya_Bidniss And presidential immunity will never apply to TFG. @TechyDad @GottaLaff
@Nonya_Bidniss @AlliFlowers @TechyDad Impeachment is not a criminal procedure, it’s political/Congressional. Apples/oranges. There’s no double jeopardy. The argument he’s making is laughable and everyone knows it. Including them.
@GottaLaff I was trying to express that but not as well. Thanks 👍 @AlliFlowers @TechyDad
@AlliFlowers I believe the difference is that doing "wrong" in a political context, which impeachment is all about, is not necessarily the same as doing crime under the law. In any case, a partisan congress is not going to give up the option of impeachment. @TechyDad @GottaLaff
