Does anyone have a good explainer for why Epic won against Google but lost against Apple?

@ben My guess is that although we talk a lot about Apple being a walled garden, it’s limited in scope. It has an OS and apps to run on it, along with some limited hardware. Google is more like a walled amusement park, with a search engine, office suite, browser, OS, and on and on.

I suspect if Google divested itself of Android, their outcome would have been the same as Apple’s.
