@GottaLaff maybe we can get a DEM candidate who will make women’s healthcare rights/against abortion bans their primary campaign message.

@NanBP In West Virginia they won't win. But we should always try

@GottaLaff I’m 🙏 that a women’s healthcare platform could swing voters. You’re right… this is very bad news … as I tell my daughter repeatedly when she complains. He is a bit of a grandstander and enjoys little power plays, but he supports the majority of the DEM agenda. Not sure why folks don’t grasp that.

@AlliFlowers Nobody is denying he's awful. But Google his voting record. He voted with Dems most of the time, and we're losing a Senate seat, which can mean losing control of the Senate. THAT'S the downside. @NanBP

@GottaLaff @AlliFlowers @NanBP I'm willing to admit his voting record flatters him, but what that doesn't show is all the bills he killed in the crib or effectively neutered before voting for them. Even Biden couldn't get him in line and they're basically two peas in a pod terms of what type of politicians they are. You're right it's still a seat lost, but it's also wasted energy regained trying to get him to do literally anything worthwhile. We can focus on other stuff for once.

@lonerfanatic My point was that we shouldn’t be celebrating. Not that he was a saint or that we all don’t detest what he’s done. Nor that there aren’t silver linings. But to celebrate the loss of a Dem seat? I’m not doing that. @AlliFlowers @NanBP
