Tom Tuberville is not a very bright man.

"I heard some things ... about race & things that he wanted to mix into the military ...Our military is not an equal-opportunity employer ... We're not looking for different groups .. We don't want to single-handedly destroy our military from within..."

1. The military literally is an equal-opportunity employer. Literally.
2. If "not looking for diverse groups" you're looking based on race, so not merit.
3. Clear he has no clue how racist this sounds.

@futurebird I agree with you about his side of the story but I can't believe that this is a coordinated attack (very possibly orchestrated foreign adversary effort to put what to block, not what they believe) by him to the military, JDVance to the DoJ and Paul Rand to State Department for national security level critical assignments. Their stupidity and racism is a given but it is being used for an intelligent, positive outcome for an adversary.

@futurebird I truly believe that somebody is weaponizing these a-holes either through their stupidity, racism, greed or compromised past.

@alper

Forgive me but I want to pick at this idea. It'd be Russia, right? They are the biggest thing in the room that wants to undermine the military and stall money to Ukraine. It's obvious they'd do all they could to influence our politics.

Would Tuberville participate in such a plan knowingly? I don't think so? Not so much because he cares about stoping Russia from just taking whatever it wants, but rather because it's humiliating to be a pawn of a foreign power. But, I don't really know.

@futurebird Tuberville doesn’t do anything *knowingly* because he knows nothing. Someone has his ear and he does what that person(s) tells him. @alper
