I have a confession to make. I have never heard a single Taylor Swift song.

@AlliFlowers sheltered life that you lead LOL I know a few of them

@AlliFlowers I had to follow all new artist up to about 2009, I was still buying every new release. Her history was break-up songs, teen stuff, country, and many followers. Swifties. "Never getting back together again" was on the radio often, but unless you knew the artist or they announced it, it's just pop charts. Shake It Off was the only song she did since I stopped DJing that I'm *aware of*

@AlliFlowers It's definitely not for everyone, I literally gave up all my own music listening for that of the clients. I never liked Country but I had to play it. Rap (the C is silent) and HipHop, good and bad and everything in between. But it's more than just about music, it's about knowing your crowd. But now I listen to what I like not what the public dictated

@Rasta That’s much healthier. I dislike C&W. I find it totally phony. I like western music from 60 years ago. I love bluegrass. C&W is the result of not being able to perform legitimate music. Not crazy about rap, but I do like some hip hop.

@AlliFlowers I knew all the old country , I grew up with Hank Snow, Hank Williams, Jim Reeves, and all the greats. The big change was about when Taylor Swift was born and New Country started. Except for line dancing , it was more rockish

@Rasta More twangy. It’s like everyone wants to be southern, but can’t do it without overdoing it. And the lyrics…oh dear gods.

@AlliFlowers When I was in Quebec, I met a 15 year old kid that was a complete Elvis groupie.. But Elvis died before he was born?
