The logic isn’t spectacular, I know—I have no qualms about getting a new phone I don’t really need every year—but my recessive yankee waste-not-want-not streak really comes out when they make the sizes fractionally different so I also have to replace a perfectly good case.

@Holberg First time I won’t have my purchase on launch day, and I must admit to being disappointed. But I’m learning a lesson in patience.
@AlliFlowers That's a good attitude. Meanwhile, I was all annoyed waking up at 5 AM to put in my order thinking do I even need to be up at 5 AM if I want it right away. But now I can be less annoyed in retrospect.
@Holberg I was particularly annoyed after waking up at 7, and not even getting into the store until 10 past, and not being able to get my order in until 20 past.
It’s a shame there’s no Apple Store in Tim Cook’s home town or even the county!
