From the standpoint of policy they are pro fetus, but not in the same way you think I originally meant.
It would have been more accurate to say they’re pro fetus (and pro religion, because these are the types of people who are easily duped and manipulated) as useful political tools to advance an authoritarian control over the populace until the moment of birth, at which point they’re no longer useful, but an incumberance except as servants.
