Question for the #iosdev experts: what’s the best approach for documenting weird fit and finish issues with the new #ios17beta?

I have used feedback for serious bugs, but in this case I (thankfully) haven’t experienced anything egregious in #ios17

#apple #ios

@joshh Is the bug with an app (only), or is it system-wide, thus in the os?

@AlliFlowers Some are with Apple apps and some are on lock-screen which makes it hard to discern if it’s system-level.

And most are just fit and finish. Like shortly after I screenshotted the weird presentation of Now Playing info, I toggled modes, and then it displayed normally. So maybe that was a bug?

@joshh Sounds like something small. I wouldn’t be surpsurprised if it were fixed at the next update. The things I find go back and forth from working to broken to working to broken with each update.

@AlliFlowers That makes sense—I appreciate your approach to triaging. Usually that’s what I also do, but I sometimes wonder if I don’t file a Feedback will they know to fix it?

Then there are other things like how I disagree with the ⌄ / ⌃ button design in the Workout/Fitness app. I believe that it is reverse of what I expect, and should mirror similar behavior found in other apps.

@joshh I was just glad they turned the order around in the workout app so that End Workout is now on top of New Workout.

Since it doesn’t appear to be app specific, I would definitely submit feedback.
