@rolle Just saw people coming to Mastodon with thousands of followers from other social platforms. They sign up, make a couple of posts like 'Hey, I'm here now!' and hours later, they're surprised they don't instantly have thousands of followers again. Then they say 'no, it doesn't work' and go back to their old social media. Engagement doesn't happen overnight, especially when there are no algorithms guiding others' choices. #Mastodon #SocialMediaEngagement #Algorithms #OnlineCommunity
