Just how shitty a job have we all done promoting this Fediverse thing?

Case in point. A good friend, call him Bill, is a widely known (and very informed) political journalist, blogger and podcaster. Freaked out over losing Tweetdeck, I tell him this is his chance to “jump to the fediverse.”

“What’s the fediverse,” he asks.

That ignorance isn’t his fault. It’s ours. We need to fix this problem, stat.
