@SrRochardBunson @AccordionBruce @geschichtenundmeer @mcv @ajroach42 Ah! Thank you! So, later than this. Sheet music was long gone by that point, one supposes.

The Beatles sold sheet music. It was popular for a while.
There were a couple of recording strikes in the 30s and 40s, but the 42 strike was the longest.

Might as well take this opportunity to offer an invitation to any/all accordion, polka, Norteño, zydeko, Appalachian, folk, klezmer, mariachi, #QueerCountry and/or bluegrass fans or musicians to let me know if you're at all interested in a Southern Artist/Musician Antifascist activism or just fun conversation with no nazis.

@SrRochardBunson @ajroach42 @IanAMartin @AccordionBruce @geschichtenundmeer@literatur.social @mcv @olavf @Phil @brooklynmarie @geos @thepoliticalcat @skybrian @rachelcholst What about klezmer?
@AlliFlowers @SrRochardBunson @ajroach42 @IanAMartin @AccordionBruce @geschichtenundmeer @mcv @olavf @Phil @brooklynmarie @geos @thepoliticalcat @skybrian @rachelcholst
Klezmer music is AMAZING. There was a revival in the 1990s called "Jewish alternative".
