I was discussing ChatGPT with my Aunt Liz, and she recounted a story about my father writing a term paper (circa 1950) incredibly quickly. It became a legend at his high school for its high quality, and nobody noticed that he'd made up all the citations. Very AI-like.

(I've had several occasions this week to discuss ChatGPT and AI in general with not-especially-geeky senior citizens, and I'm struck by how interested they are and how much they intuitively grasp about it. More so, and more quickly, then with other tech sea changes, I think.)

@harrymccracken My 89-year old mother came up with a great use for AI. She input all her medications and asked for drug interactions. Smart!
