we said goodbye to our 8th graders today.
this was a tough day, but that's because we had such a meaningful year.
one truth about #teaching is that we get to know and love a new group of kids each year, and each year we have to say goodbye to them.
we also met next year's 8th graders today. they seem weird. 😆
@seanwithwords That was always something I saw as an advantage in teaching high school. I had some of them for 4 years, and got to know them really well.
@AlliFlowers one nice thing is that our middle school is right across the street from the high school campus, so we do get the occasional visit, which is wonderful
@seanwithwords Oh that would be wonderful! We have (I had) the largest district in the state, so following students from one level to another is next to impossible.
