Pastor Mark Burns says God has chosen Trump: “There are forces that are against him. I believe it’s because of how he honors God, and how he actually keeps his word.”

@ronfilipkowski
Here's my attempt to rebut the pastor!

Just like how God chose Lucifer who started out as a beautiful angel or Judas who was one of the 12, God also gave people free will. In that sense Lucifer's God-given beauty inspired his rebellion (Isiah 14:12-14), and Judas simply pursued his traitorous character (John 6:70-71).

Trump, by his free will, also chose to become an evil person just like Lucifer and Judas!

Tell the pastor to try harder! 🤣

@walterdunham My favorite argument against free will is that those who constantly remind us of free will also remind us that God has a plan. Well which is it? Cause if he has a plan, we don’t have free will.

@AlliFlowers
Here's a nice read about God's all knowing vis-á-vis free will ...the first is about Lucifer and the second is about Judas ... only if you really want to know.

@AlliFlowers
It does if you read it and tried to honestly understand it. Otherwise it will be pointless for us to pursue this discussion.

@walterdunham I did read it. It suggests you have some free will for some things. Otherwise, your life is pre-ordained by god’s will.

@AlliFlowers
Then you do have free will, as opposed to your general sweeping statement that we don't.

@AlliFlowers
Sorry, you failed to see the message in the first link about Lucifer. Good night.
