I think my favorite Mastodon feature is Content Warnings.

When you're making a post there's a CW button. Clicking that adds a Content Warning field to describe what the post is about (eg. Mental Health, Politics, NSFW, etc.)

Others will see the Content Warning first and will need to click in to see the actual content. (CWs are also great for hiding spoilers.)

However...

I don't think it's reasonable to expect CWs. Please don't berate people who don't use them. Especially those who are just trying to express their own experiences or are actively reaching out for support!

Comfort in; Dump out.

Individuals with lived experience should not be made to feel like they need to self-censor when they're just trying to express their very real needs or experiences. Dumping extra trauma into the mix isn't helpful.
