Does it need to be an either/or proposition? In MI, to recertify, #teachers must have a certain number of continuing #education hours.
These come from a combo of "school-planned" and teacher choice. In the former, it makes sense if you have an all hands need. Ex: we use SIOP which touches on ALL staff: #classroom teachers, paras, specials, even admins.
In the latter, for me to go to a PD on a math practices would be a waste.
