After covid forced teachers to teach remotely, there was a backlash against Zoom classes, w/ good reason. Teaching remotely needs to be done well, with an understanding of the affordances & drawbacks of online media. @hrheingold One of the most difficult points during our rapid switch to distance learning during the pandemic is that a large number of teachers are not taught the difference between F2F and online, so they just continued to do what they’d always done…which loses SO much in translation.
