I can’t be a good Mastodonian, apologies. I wake up in the morning, see 600 new posts and start to look at all of them, come to a realization and then just swoop to the top. So I’m sure to be missing good posts, but with scrolling text, it just can’t be helped unless I want to live on the app which I won’t. So that’s why I likely did not boost or reply to your great posts. 😕

@Huntn00

I have this same fear of loss. So much amazing content on #mastodon

Allow me to suggest using favorites and bookmarks as a way to "follow up" on things during holiday or other downtime.

I tend to carry thousands of favorites.

@RememberUsAlways Thanks! Is the favorite, just a star on someone’s post? If so I did not realize it provides any lasting effect. I’ve placed a couple of bookmarks, but have not yet figured out how to call them up or what benefit they offer besides returning to an old conversation. I am following a number of people and their posts seem to be upfront. There is just so much content it seems to be a lost cause to consume it all. 🫤

@Huntn00

That's about it. Allows for the saving of old comments, pictures, data etc. I use it as a timeline reference that I can reflect on for writing or artwork.
