@GreenFire The Right- too much sinister in charge and too much Koolaid drinking. Just know that today’s Republicans idolize profits and they don’t care what they cannibalize to achieve it even if it harms everyone and the Planet. And the R-Minions they just drink the Koolaid as a lemming group activity and rave like lunatics. These people have been assimilated, but more important, their IQs are questionable, selfishness is excessive and I’m tempted to apply the term white privaledge, racist.🤔
@GreenFire @Huntn00 So true! And even back when, it was hit-or-miss. Nixon signed major expansions of the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act into law, but Reagan took down Carter’s solar panels and (in)famously said trees caused pollution. Then came GHW Bush, who passed critically important improvements to the Clean Air Act into law ( remember when acid rain was a thing?), and iirc also put in place the CFC’s phaseout (goodbye, ozone hole!).
@GreenFire @Huntn00 Then GW Bush undercut major elements of the Clean Air Act… etc. etc.
@LauraJMG @GreenFire The Conservatives movement in the USA used to value the environment. It makes perfect sense, protect our home and keep it relatively clean. In addition a Republican named Mitt Romney sponsored basic universal health care. Somewhere along the line, infiltrated by various nefarious elements like TeaParty, QAnon and others, the GOP has lost their way and my trust.

As #ClimateAction started to become more and more likely, the #FossilFools started to throw tons of money into the GOP and the Political Action Committees in order to wage their successful (so far) #WarOnScience
@GreenFire @Huntn00 Excellent graphic. It really drives the point home that there’s way too much dirty money in our politics here in the US.
@GreenFire @Huntn00 (btw, "Fossil Fools," perfect 😂🤣)
@Huntn00
I'm old enough to remember a time before the fossil fuel industry started paying millions and millions towards supporting the GOP in order to get them to block all #ClimateAction
For example, the move to efficient LEDs was championed by former President George W. Bush, whose Energy Independence and Security Act in 2007 and called for household light bulbs to have “about 25% greater efficiency” but now they're entire political platform is geared towards protecting the #FossilFools
