The rebranding of Twitter makes no sense. My guess is that Musk was once traumatized by a movie.
#Twitter

@rchusid Although I never participated in , actually hated the name as in picturing little old ladies twittering, the bird was a much friendlier icon than a cold steal X as if The Empire headed by Palpatine just disbanded The Senate. 😳

@Huntn00 @rchusid Hey, what's your problem with little old ladies .. like me? 😀Seriously though, the name referred to 140 character messages going back and forth – like birds tweeting

@NSBooklady2 @Huntn00 If starting from scratch could argue over whether Twitter is the best name, but now it has a strong brand identity and it is foolish to give it up--especially for something with such little meaning as X.

@rchusid @NSBooklady2 that’s why I wondered if a new name was in the works. Will Step2 be to call it X? Anyhow my guess is that most people consider this just another blunder with the Brand. “Hey I’ve been Xing today!” 🤔

@NSBooklady2 @rchusid sorry no offense, I bet you don’t twitter. :) The verbs like twittering and cackling were sometimes applied in literature in a sexiest way, and this is one of the things I did not like about it.

@Huntn00 @rchusid What appeared in literature several generations ago is just a reminder that we've evolved a LOT since then. My great great grandmother was more in the "twittering" generation,

@NSBooklady2 @rchusid I would say my Grandmother’s gen, but I’m not arguing. 🙃 I’m 70 btw. 😐
