@Huntn00 I watched a Florida gelato public sales business owner who voted for DeSantis solely because DeSantis opened businesses early in the pandemic (risking peoples' health ...). The owner sold more gelato, made more money, was thrilled.
Likewise an illegal immigrant (2020; midwest; 60 minutes?) - long established restaurateur who bought into Trump's reduce taxes; immigration pardons propaganda; ... voted for Trump so he could make more money; applied for citizenship; deported to Mexico
@persagen Mindlessly reducing taxes has been the 40 year old mantra of the Right Wing, first used under Reagan to win votes, and cause the first serious post WWII budget shortfalls as a reason, “we now need to eliminate social programs”. We desperately need a honest National dialog about what we want our Govt to provide while staying afloat and how to pay for it. You’ll never get this discussion from the GOP and the Dems are too scared of Right Wing attacks and how the sheep will react.
