@voron

Nazis are the most reliable anti-democracy voting block for Republican billionaire donors funding fascism.

They aren't funding the GOP to help American democracy. They're funding the ability to profit from its demise.

When the consequences of their actions hit home, they will abandon it to its fate just like Putin's oligarchs ran away.

These bigots in Georgia are just pawns. Distracting blame to marginalized groups is what fascists do.

@Npars01 if the MAGA base knew their politicians could have “gotten rid of those dirty immigrants” with a stroke of a pen like this before but the farm owners & construction biz owners don’t want that to happen it would be a riot in the gop

@voron

Much of what the GOP stands for can be explained as voter & wage suppression schemes.

Their immigration policies for example.

Republicans want cheap labor.

They lure migrants to low wage work without health benefits at farms, construction, meat processing plants, and fast food restaurants.

Then they pay substandard wages.

They deport their workers on paydays.

Republicans then blame Democrats for failing to resolve a problem the GOP created.

@Npars01 I can’t say the Dems are blameless on this one.
.

A rational immigration policy package has been known for decades, hell Regan even supported much of it
.
1. increase & streamline legal immigration
2. Increase penalties & enforcement on EMPLOYERS
3. Create a guest worker program with a path to citizenship

Neither party will champion it because the rich WANT a vulnerable underclass of workers

@voron @Npars01 I think that the Dems can’t be who they want to be, at least they feel that way, because they are worried about the country split down the middle, and want to continue to hold office. They are too cozy with the Corporatocracy. I was very disappointed when a majority of them voted pro-Iraq war/invasion based on a pack of lies. However in a binary system and a broken-bad GOP, no way I’m voting for anti-democracy, fascist leaning lunatics on the Right.

@Npars01 @Huntn00 of course, vote against the worst in the general election, vote for the BEST, in primaries ALWAYS vote in primaries. Vote for using ranked choice voting and instant run off for local & state elections, concentrate on campaign finance reform & in finance & economic transparency & reform because if politicians are for sale the odds of winning on any other issue will be low

@Huntn00 @voron

In every democracy, sometimes voters have to hold their nose and vote for the least awful candidate.
