@libraonfire.bsky.social I heard former governor Pataki blasting Mamdani on the news last night. The interviewer (BBC) took him to task though. Pataki claimed the event today shouldn’t be political, and the interviewer rightly pointed out that HE was the one making it political.

The best (worst?) part was Pataki acting like a helpless victim of the toxic air in Manhattan at the time… totally ignoring the fact that he, as governor, could have and should have been telling the public to stay away.

What a great reminder the Giuliani wasn’t the only abhorrent leader in NY at the time.
