I just went on a 4 mile, round-trip scooter ride just for the hell of it. Even in 90 degree weather. Just for fun.

I haven't done something like that with a non-electric, two-wheeled object in decades. DECADES.

Speaking of two-wheeled objects, despite great trepidation, my partner rode one for the first time in his life today. No one ever bothered to teach him to ride a bike growing up. I am so proud of him.

We're looking forward to going on rides together in the future with our safety gear protecting us even if we do probably look utterly ridiculous.
