Yikes. Currently charging at a Francis Energy charger in Tucumcari, #NewMexico. Next to us is a woman who had apparently never charged away from home before, doesn’t have a Francis Energy account, and has never downloaded an app to her phone before. (Francis being one of those annoying charging providers that doesn’t just put a credit card reader on their machines for some ridiculous reason.)
If she hasn’t managed to get a charge going by the time we’re ready to go, I may have to just use my account to buy her a charge. (She’s on the phone with them now, hopefully they can walk her through the process.)
She wasn’t able to get a charge going with Francis Energy, but I was able to find an Electrofy America charger that she had plenty of range to get to, and those do take credit cards! Crisis averted!
