2/ Here’s something:

Judge Kaplan says both Carroll and Trump are not to say anything to any juror or communicate anything directly or indirectly to any juror.

One example of Kaplan already not having Habba's complaints: "Ms. Habba, I have heard you. I’ve considered what you have to say. And I have ruled. That’s it. In my courtroom, when a ruling is made, that’s the end, not the beginning, of the argument."

7/ Orden:

Kaplan explains to prospective jurors that this will be an anonymous jury, meaning no one including the parties, their lawyers, reporters or even the judge will know their real names. He also suggests they speak to each other using names other than their real ones.

8/ Orden:

The jurors will be transported to court each day by gathering at certain meeting spots, from where they will be driven to court and brought in via underground garage, Kaplan says.

He also instructed jurors not tell anyone, including family, that they are serving on this case.

9/ I'm up against 2 obstacles in live tooting today:

1. As we speak, I'm surrounded by painters. It's loud and busy.

2. Mastodon's "grid" interface is still glitching horribly. I wrote to my instance, but no reply. Every time I hit "reply" it jumps to some other column or something entirely unrelated, or drops down other menus.

So, I'll be fighting with this all day.

Kaplan asks if anyone believes Trump is being treated unfairly by the court system in the United States.

The prospective juror who is one of the people who said he thinks the 2020 election was stolen stood up to indicate he believes Trump is being treated unfairly

16/ Orden:

Jury selection in the second Carroll v. Trump trial is complete.

The two prospective jurors who said they believed the 2020 presidential election was stolen were not selected for the jury.
