Just dialed off early from my french language group zoom Xmas party call. I think the problem with the French group for me is that there are no native speakers, with me being the most fluent, whereas the German group has multiple native speakers plus my German isn't so good and actively improves from attending. Anyway they were having a tedious conversation about Yule logs so I left.

@Actionreplay That’s a shame. We have a very active, but small French group that meets weekly. We recently were joined by a French woman with LEP hoping to improve her English. So I make the French learners speak to her in French and she must speak to them in English. I pinch hit for whichever gets stuck.
