@AlliFlowers I don't know them. When I was younger (I took Full one year French Immersion, there is no related person who speaks French in my heritage) I learned and sang French songs, but many of these names hadn't been born then.

@Rasta I was lucky. Went to h.s. In NY, right across the border from Montréal. Speaking French was a necessity. Was lucky enough to teach the language for 20+ years.

@AlliFlowers I was fortunate to be trained at the Navy's expense. Taking a Specialized Senior member from a ship, takes an act of God. No one I ever sailed with, had this training. You had to be highly motivated to be considered. I took many night courses on my own time, first level French, paid for by Military. Also, no one else I knew, went to them. I wanted to learn French, and mind that I've lost so much. But, I was a go-getter. If they sent me on a course, I came back with a Certificate .
