I always eat the hurricane snacks before it gets here. More of a confession than a tip.

@johnettesnuggs I’m more of a chocoholic. We typically buy chips and chocolate heading into a big one, but they always get eaten long before the rain starts. @kbeninato
@AlliFlowers @kbeninato every so often we get the remnants of a hurricane all the way up here. It’s usually in the evening/night, and it’s a nice time to open a bottle of wine by candlelight. Hurricanes are better than tornadoes IMO because you at least have some warning they are on the way. Tornadoes just show up unannounced and wreck the place like unwanted relatives.
@johnettesnuggs Ten years ago, my mother was visiting when we got hit by a tornado. She never noticed. Just slept through the whole thing (including our roof being destroyed for the 2nd time). I agree with you completely! @kbeninato
@johnettesnuggs I sleep so soundly when it thunders! But the tornado just came out of nowhere. No thunder, no rain, just suddenly I was awake and realized what it was. @kbeninato
